Impacts of Alcoholism on College Students
Going off to college is the first time many teens are exposed to alcohol. For others, they have been exposed their whole life, through parents or friends or other relatives. For college students who have histories of being exposed to alcoholics at a young age, alcohol around all the time in college can present new challenges, and sometimes new ways of coping. This portrait series explores those dynamics.
This is an artistic portrait series I did in Photoshop which explores the relationship people on the brink of graduating have with their future careers. In college, working toward a career seems an all-encompassing task, and we seem defined by our majors, how much money we will make when we get out, and how we view our futures. The style I chose with these portraits, a small person being encompassed and swallowed by an environment that supposedly dictates his or her future represents this idea.
